Founded in 1976 by John Mutrux, Mutrux Photography has a 2100-square-foot studio with a 1200-square-foot, drive-in camera room featuring a 27-wide, 20-foot-high plaster cyclorama (cyc.)
In 2003, with an editorial team at The Kansas City Star, John created the look and feel of the House and Home section of the Sunday
paper. Over the next five years, Mutrux' photography won numerous awards and, in 2008, House and Home was recognized by The
National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) as the second-best home section in the U.S.
